Preparing for your gazebo
We recommend that you put down a 2 to 4 inch limestone base #57 or #8s for the gazebo. Your site must be level. In very sunny areas, we recommend that you put down black plastic or weed barrier cloth to prevent grass from trying to grow up between the floor boards. Another option would be to place your gazebo on a concrete slab or footing, or on concrete pillars. This is preferable for the larger gazebos that require on-site assembly. Occasionally we place a gazebo on an existing deck, or even a dock constructed of heavy 6x6 beams out over water.
